This Cookie Policy explains how RestaurantMate uses cookies and similar browser storage on rmate.ai and in the RestaurantMate application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Last updated: July 30, 2026.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar browser technologies, such as localStorage, which keep small pieces of information on your device. Together we refer to these as “cookies” in this policy.
RestaurantMate uses cookies almost exclusively to make the product work. We do not run third-party advertising cookies and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in sessions, security tokens, and request integrity. The Service cannot work without these. | Authentication session cookies, CSRF token |
| Functional | Remembering small preferences so the product behaves the way you left it. | Your last sign-in method hint, interface preferences such as theme |
| Analytics | Understanding, in aggregate, how the website performs so we can improve it. Used sparingly during the beta. | Basic page performance measurements |
Some features rely on third-party services that may set their own strictly necessary cookies when you use them, such as our authentication provider during sign-in or Google when you connect a Gmail account. Those services use cookies under their own policies.
If our use of cookies changes materially, for example if we add an analytics provider that requires consent, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent. Questions: use the contact form at rmate.ai.
